I like the idea of taking a place that is raw and unfinished (CMU walls) and filling not with expensive finishes, but with beautiful work. I think that is what having a studio is all about. The work you create there becomes the focal point.

We've had this unfortunate trend in the past 10 or so years where a building has to pretend to be another building every 30 or 40 feet. Really, there are very nice facades that can run the whole length of a building. Can we stop doing this now?
